How to be happy when you’re alone

Fall is just around the corner and if you’re not already booed up, you might feel a little unhappy. You want that dream life that everyone around you would envy but you don’t know how to create it when you’re alone. The secrets to a blissful life are not as complicated as you might think. Being happy is very simple, but so many of us makes it complicated.

Your life may not be perfect but by following these 5 simple steps you can find true happiness within yourself in not time.

  1. Have faith

Even if you don’t believe in a higher power, you should still have faith that everything in your life is going to work out. Someone told me once that “you pay for your good days with your bad ones” and it as stuck with me ever since. Therefore, when I’m having a bad day or I’m feeling lonely, I know that’s the price I’m paying for my good days. With a little prayer, giving talks that I’m still alive, I can go on with my day blissfully. Life will not always be simple or straight forward, understand that and get past your need to control or fix every little thing.

Have you ever realized that when you’re having money problem, every other problem just seems bigger? Problems seems more stressful and nothing is as straight forward as it should be. I’m not saying that money equals happiness.   1. Believe in yourself

When you start doubting yourself and your abilities it’s impossible for you to find happiness.  If you can’t find happiness within yourself then how can you be truly happy as a person? Know that there is something and/or someone better out there for you. Stop looking at what others are achieving and focus on your own life and happiness.  Don’t be that person who is always cheer for another people’s success but not celebrating their own. Believe in yourself even if you’re the only one who does.

  1. Write it down

I’ve meet a lot of people with big dreams and plans to change their lives. But when you ask them how they are going to do it they don’t even have a clue. Write all your plans and dreams in a book that you can look at every day.  Figure out what it will take to make them a reality and write them down step by step. Therefore,  when you’ve achieve a step cross it out of your book. Don’t wait for someone else to make your dreams come true or to give you a shot. Take your life in your own hands and create your own opportunities.

  1. Live like a pessimist

This is something that I learned when I was about 24 years old. Plan like a pessimist but live like an optimist. Plan for every eventuality as much as you can. I know that sounds overly dramatic, but if you have a plan A,B,C,D… for everything that can go wrong in your life, then life won’t seem so scary. Since you know that no matter what you have a plan in place just in case.  Twice a year I have to readjust my plans but for the rest of the year I’m set. Some say that life never go as you plan. You won’t have to worry about life’s changes since you already have a backup plan.

These 5 tips are merely a guide to true happiness. I know that taking control of you bliss is not always as simple matter but take it step by step and I promise that your life will get a lot better. You won’t be happy all the time but at least most the time you’ll be happier that most people.
